Farewell.

Ok, so. I have a new blog. If you wish, you may join me there. This is a record of the past 612 days of my life...it's all there, I un-privatized just about everything. This is who I was.

<3.

Story.

Told to me by my friend, the Domino's Pizza girl. She's taking someone's order over the phone, and...

Man: Cud you put red crushed peppers on thaat?
Girl: Sorry sir, we don't put red crushed peppers on the pizza, but we have little packages to give you for it.
Man: How can you not put red crushed peppers on pizza? That's like a LAW er sumthin...
Girl: I'm sorry sir, ah've never read that law.
Man: It's a law in TEXAS!
Girl: Well, sir, yer not in TEXAS, yer in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Man: Well, hell, how hungover am I?

*snort*

Girl: Is there anything else I can get you?
Man: Ah'd like yer phone number.

EDIT: Did you that Imogen Heap covered "Holdin' Out For A Hero?" I mean, dude. It's awesome.

We got sunlight on the sand,
We got moonlight on the sea,
We got mangoes and bananas
You can pick right off the tree,
We got volleyball and ping-pong
And a lot of dandy games!
What ain't we got?
We ain't got dames!

We get packages from home,
We get movies, we get shows,
We get speeches from our skipper
And advice from Tokyo Rose,
We get letters doused with perfume
We get dizzy from the smell!
What don't we get?
You know darn well!

We have nothin' to put on a clean white suit for
What we need is what there ain't no substitute for...

There is nothin' like a dame,
Nothin' in the world,
There is nothin' you can name
That is anythin' like a dame!

We feel restless, we feel blue,
We feel lonely and in grief,
We feel ev'ry kind of feelin',
But the feelin' of relief
We feel hungry as the wolf felt
When he met Red Hiding-hood
What don't we feel?
We don't feel good!

Lots of things in life are beautiful, but brother,
There is one particular thing that is nothin' whatsoever
In any way, shape or form like any other.

There is nothin' like a dame,
Nothin' in the world,
There is nothin' you can name
That is anythin' like a dame!

Nothin' else was built the same,
Nothin' in the world
As the soft and wavy frame
Like the silhouette of a dame!

There is absolutely nothin' like a frame of a dame.

So suppose that dame and bride
Aren't completely free from flaws,
Or as faithful as a bird dog,
Or as kind as Santa Claus,
It's a waste of time to worry
Over things that they have not,
Be thankful for the things they got!

There is nothin' you can name
That is anythin' like a dame!

There are no books like a dame,
And nothin' looks like a dame.
There are no drinks like a dame,
And nothin' thinks like a dame,
Nothin' acts like a dame,
Or attracts like a dame.
There ain't a thing that's wrong with any man here
That can't be cured by pullin' him near
A girly, womanly, female, feminine dame!

EDIT: Come on, it's an awesome song.

"Lieutellan?...
...
...You SAXXY man!"

Ok, it's late, and I am going to rant. If I say something stupid, sorry.

What. The. HECK. Gives someone the right to say whether or not someone else is "saved?" I mean, heck, I'll tell you if you're wrong. I'll tell you if I think your views are heretical. But I would NEVER have the audacity to think, much less SAY that someone was or was not "saved." (By that, I assume they mean "going to heaven.") I have no IDEA who is going to make it to heaven. No one does except God. I don't really think that all Christians are saved and/or all non-Christians are damned. Being a part of the mystical body of Christ makes a HUGE difference, but...well. Enough said.

Grr.

EDIT: Not entirely sure what I was thinking of last night when I said "the mystical body of Christ," and I may not have known at the time what I meant either (notice the dotdotdot), but I think I meant something like this: Having the fullness of the faith helps a great deal. But no one knows what's in someone else's soul. Hence, I don't think anyone can declare another person "unsaved."

Valentine's day.

So...for the most part, today, I was too busy to think about V-day. But...well, the parents have gone out for dinner, and here I am. I was thinking this weekend that by today I might actually have a Valentine, but, um...no. Very much no. Marjorie SURE knows how to pick 'em, people. Remind me to never ever ever follow my instincts again. Ever. Because my instincts are ALWAYS WRONG.

Or, it could just be that it was a Bob Jones guy...it could just be that I should have picked up on that great big HUGE HINT. And yes, there *is* more to that story.

Anyway. I had a Valentine last year. For the first time ever. So...I guess I'm kindof missing it right now. Not him, just...it. Though, I'll say this, I'm much more independent at this point than I ever have been before. So...I'm making progress. I'm so ready to go away to college.

And I SO wish I could eat chocolate right now!

EDIT: Some of my favorite lyrics from the new Fall Out Boy CD:

You are the dreamer
And we are the dream
I could write it better than you ever felt it
So hum hallelujah
Just off the key of reason
I thought I loved you
It was just how you looked in the light
A teenage vow in a parking lot
Til tonight do us part
I sing the blues
And swallow them too
- Hum Hallelujah

I wrote a goodbye note
in lipstick on your arm
when you passed out
I couldn't bring myself to call
except to call it quits
Best friends, ex-friends to the end
Better off as lovers and not the other way around
Racing through the city, windows down
in the back
of yellow checkered cars
- Bang the Doldrums
